My interest in the arts and emotional health have led me into these areas of support and service for individuals: editing and coaching. I have professional experience in high tech, higher education, finance, and publishing. I am an alumnus of the University of Washington, Seattle, with degrees in the field of communications, and a certificate in editing. I have worked for Microsoft Corporation, the University of Washington, UW Bothell, and Bellevue College. Writing and editing projects have been in collaboration with McGraw-Hill, Richard D. Irwin, International Thompson Publishing, and Wadsworth Publishing.
My job as an editor is to help make your writing stand out, catching the reader’s attention. I also help find any mistakes in grammar or punctuation that you may have missed in your own editing process. In working with your manuscript, I draw on my experience as a technical editor and non-fiction writer in the field of college textbooks as well as my training at the University of Washington, Seattle. I am self-published in the creative writing genre and use my writing practice as an avenue of self-exploration and self-expression .
I put my listening and analytical skills to work for people who are in the midst of life changes and want to manage their decisions for a successful outcome. Changes in employment, finances, relationships, or a desire to improve life with increased self-care are all reasons to contact me for a planning session. We work swiftly to help you identify next steps and avoid the need for numerous, repeat appointments.
Appointments by phone, Skype, or in-person.
